The only good thing about my extremely long daily commute (currently over three hours round-trip) is that I have the opportunity to read on the train, and in this way, I am able to constantly and continually educate myself.
Tonight, I learned of the Greek word “Adamas,” which means “unconquerable and indestructible.” And apparently, the modern word “diamond” is derived from this ancient word. Anyway, I just thought this little factoid was pretty cool given the similiarity to my first name and all.
